Our standards

How we write here

  • Every empirical claim is referenced.
  • Where evidence is uncertain, contested or preliminary, we say so.
  • We name the author of every piece, with their credentials.
  • We distinguish between what a study found, what it suggests, and what we think.
  • We do not publish health claims we cannot source.
  • We correct errors publicly and promptly.
