How we recruit

Fair, simple and free

01

Apply online

Send your CV and a short cover note through the listing. An email confirms straight away that your application has arrived.

02

Shortlisting

After the closing date we assess every application against the criteria published in the listing, and nothing else.

03

Interview or short task

In person in Dhaka or online. Field roles include a short training session on the study protocol before any fieldwork.

04

References and offer

We check references before any offer. Roles that involve children or vulnerable adults need additional checks under our safeguarding policy.

We never charge a fee

Not to apply, not to be interviewed, not for training and not to be hired. Anyone who asks you for money in The Ideology's name is not acting for us. Please report it to info@theideology.org.

Questions

Before you apply

Is there a fee to apply?

No. The Ideology never charges applicants, interns or volunteers: not to apply, not for training and not to be hired.

Do I need to live in Dhaka?

Not always. Every listing says where the work happens: our Dhaka office, remote, hybrid, or field sites across Bangladesh.

Can I apply for more than one opportunity?

Yes. Apply to each one separately. If nothing fits right now, join the talent pool.

I am a student. Internship or membership?

They do different things. An internship is supervised work on a real study. Membership is for learning: methods clinics, consultations and a research community. You can do both.

Are volunteers paid?

No. Volunteering is unpaid and flexible. Paid opportunities are listed as jobs, internships or field roles, with the pay stated in the listing.

Will I hear back?

Every application gets an automatic email confirming that it has arrived. If you are shortlisted, we contact you by email or phone after the closing date.

What happens to my CV?

We use it only to assess your application. Applications are kept for 12 months and then deleted, and you can ask us to delete yours sooner by writing to info@theideology.org. See our Privacy Policy.
