Research, evaluation and evidence services
We design and conduct research for organizations that need to know something they cannot assume. Three divisions, one methodological and ethical standard.

For universities, faculty, postgraduate researchers, hospitals and research institutions.

For companies, pharmaceutical and healthcare organizations, hospitals, social enterprises and foundations.
Market and customer research · organizational assessment · social impact assessment · CSR and ESG evaluationExploreHow an engagement works
Six stages, and you are not left waiting until the final report at any of them.
Enquiry
Send us a ToR, a concept note, or two paragraphs describing what you need to know. There is no charge and no obligation.
Scoping call
We discuss the question, the decision it informs, the constraints and what is realistic. If we are not the right partner, we will say so and, where we can, suggest who is.
Proposal
A technical and financial proposal: proposed design, sampling, instruments, timeline, team, deliverables, ethical approach and budget.
Contract and ethical approval
Contract signed; protocol submitted for ethical review where required. Fieldwork does not begin before approval.
Delivery
Instrument development, piloting, data collection, analysis, reporting — with agreed checkpoints and interim updates.
Dissemination
Findings presented and, where the engagement includes it, translated into briefs, summaries or visual products for the audiences that need them.
What we need to give you a proposal
The more of this you have, the faster and more accurate our response. If you have none of it, the scoping call exists precisely for that.
- What decision will this research inform?
- What specifically do you need to know?
- Who is the population or group of interest?
- What geography?
- What timeline, and what is driving it?
- Is there an existing ToR, concept note, theory of change or results framework?
- Does the study require ethical approval, and is an institutional committee involved?
- Indicative budget range, if there is one
We do not publish a price list
Research is quoted against a design, and a design depends on the question, the population, the geography, the sample and the timeline. A price quoted before those are known is a guess.
What we will do is tell you early and honestly what range a study like yours falls into, so that nobody spends time on a proposal that was never going to fit the budget.
Two things worth reading first
Our methodology
How we design, sample, collect, analyse and report — written for technical reviewers rather than for buyers.
Read our methodologyOur ethics
What we will and will not do, stated in full — including the things most organizations in this market leave unsaid.
Read our ethics policyTell us what you need to know
Send a terms of reference, a concept note, or a description of the decision you are trying to make. We respond with an initial view on design, feasibility and fit.
